July 28th, 2023 – VICTORIA, BC: “Recently, British Columbians found out that massive delays were being falsely advertised to travelers by BC Ferries due to a website error.
If this scenario happened with Air Canada, West Jet, Via Rail – or any other national transportation company – there would be immediate consequences for misleading passengers. In fact, someone would probably be fired.
Where is the accountability from BC Ferries to British Columbians who have lost time, money, and the ability to see their loved ones?
We need to introduce accountability – and, frankly, an ambition to do better – to our ferry service in British Columbia, while safeguarding the quality, frequency, and pricing of our BC Ferries.”
