Born and raised in Langley, Jody has deep roots in the community she proudly represents. Before entering public office, she owned and operated an integrative holistic healthcare clinic, providing patient centred care and supporting individuals and families in achieving better health. She has also volunteered with local food banks and charitable organizations, strengthening her commitment to serving those facing hardship.
Jody holds dual doctoral degrees in Integrative Medicine and Humanitarian Services through the Board of Integrative Medicine. During her first term, Jody successfully guided Bill M 204, the Perinatal and Postnatal Mental Health Strategy Act, through every stage of the Legislative Assembly. The bill received unanimous support and Royal Assent on May 29, 2025, becoming the first Private Member’s Bill in more than a decade to achieve unanimous consent in the BC Legislature. The legislation establishes a provincial strategy to strengthen mental health care and supports for mothers and families.
Jody and her husband, Dr. Charn Toor, an optometrist in Walnut Grove, are proud parents of two daughters, Nya and Jaya. As MLA for Langley Willowbrook, Jody remains committed to advancing practical, common-sense solutions that strengthen healthcare, support families, and build stronger communities.
