David Williams is a strong advocate for common-sense government, responsible fiscal management, and a stronger voice for residents in rural and Interior British Columbia.
First elected in October 2024, David brings decades of practical experience in construction, commercial project management, real estate, property assessment, agriculture-related appraisal, and the insurance industry. His professional background has given him a firsthand understanding of the pressures facing families, farmers, property owners, employers, and growing communities across the Shuswap–North Okanagan.
David serves as the BC Conservative Critic for BC Hydro and Electrical Energy Development. In this role, he is working to hold the NDP government accountable for realistic energy planning and policies that address future affordability, reliability, and self-sufficiency in order to meet future electricity demand for homes and businesses while facilitating economic growth.
He has also been appointed the BC Conservative Caucus Lieutenant for the Okanagan and Interior, providing regional leadership and ensuring that communities outside the Lower Mainland have a meaningful voice in caucus discussions and provincial decision-making.
Before entering provincial politics, David served his community through youth sports, local boards, the Columbia Shuswap Regional District Board of Variance, and the Salmon Arm Property Assessment Review Panel.
Supported by his spouse, children, and grandchildren, David remains committed to defending affordability, reducing government waste, supporting economic development, protecting property rights, strengthening public safety, and delivering accountable government for the people of Salmon Arm–Shuswap and all British Columbians.
