Mandeep Dhaliwal was elected as the Conservative Party of BC MLA for Surrey North in 2024. He serves as the Official Opposition Critic for Sports and Parental Rights, advocating for stronger families, safer communities, greater transparency in education, and increased opportunities for youth through sport. Drawing on his experience as an entrepreneur and community leader, Mandeep is committed to practical, common-sense solutions that strengthen communities and improve the lives of British Columbians.
Family and Background
After immigrating to Canada with his family in his twenties, Mandeep built a life rooted in hard work, perseverance, and community service. He lives in Surrey with his wife, Pawan, a Registered Nurse, and their son, Diltaj. Before coming to Canada, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in India and was a national level Kabaddi athlete, winning a gold medal at an inter college championship in Punjab. The discipline, teamwork, and resilience he developed through sport continue to shape both his leadership and his commitment to serving others.
Entrepreneurship in Canada
As the founder of Fixman Auto Glass Repair and Fixman Auto Glass Supplier, Mandeep understands the challenges facing small businesses and advocates for policies that encourage entrepreneurship, create jobs, and strengthen British Columbia’s economy.
Community Engagement
Mandeep remains actively engaged throughout Surrey North, meeting regularly with residents, businesses, faith groups, non profit organizations, and community leaders. In 2025, he was appointed the Conservative Party of BC Leader’s Chair for South Asian Outreach.
Community service has always been more than a commitment for Mandeep. It is something he believes should be lived. A longtime member of the BC Sikh Motorcycle Club, he has helped raise more than $200,000 for charitable causes, including the BC Cancer Foundation and Khalsa Aid. He joined a five day, 93 kilometre walk from Vancouver to Victoria in support of Gurmoh, a young child living with a rare disease. For Mandeep, serving others means more than offering words of encouragement. It means giving of his own time, energy, and effort to stand alongside families facing life’s greatest challenges.
Legislative Leadership
In the Legislative Assembly, Mandeep has championed initiatives to strengthen public safety, support youth sports, expand healthcare capacity in Surrey, improve community infrastructure, and give families a stronger voice in education. He introduced Bill M215, the Parental Transparency and Age-Appropriate Education Act, to strengthen transparency between schools and parents regarding educational resources and learning materials.

Whether in the Legislature or throughout Surrey North, Mandeep believes public service begins with listening and is measured by action. He is committed to accessible, responsive representation by working closely with residents, community organizations, and local leaders to address the issues that matter most. Guided by the belief that leadership is rooted in service, he strives to deliver practical solutions that support families, strengthen communities, and improve opportunities for everyone who calls Surrey North home.
