Kristina Loewen is honoured to serve as the first-ever MLA for the newly established riding of Kelowna Centre and is the Official Opposition Critic for Prosperity and Social Development. Since being elected in October 2024, she has become a strong advocate for intimate partner violence, healthcare, public safety, housing affordability, economic opportunity, government accountability, and support for British Columbia’s most vulnerable residents.
A long-time Kelowna resident, Kristina has lived, worked, and volunteered in the region for more than 25 years. As the eldest of eight children, she developed a strong sense of responsibility and leadership early in life. She and her husband, Andrew, have been married for nearly three decades and have raised four children together. Her background as a real estate professional, doula, care-aide, and youth leader has given her a unique perspective on the challenges facing families and communities across British Columbia.
In the Legislature, Kristina has championed reforms to improve healthcare access, strengthen protection for victims of crime and intimate partner violence, increase government transparency, and advance policies that promote economic prosperity while supporting seniors, families, individuals living with disabilities, and those facing poverty. She has worked closely with constituents to resolve complex cases involving healthcare, housing, social support, and provincial services, while advocating for practical, compassionate solutions to improve people’s lives.
Kristina believes effective leadership begins with listening. She remains committed to representing the voices of Kelowna Centre with integrity, accountability, and common sense, while working toward a safer, stronger, and more prosperous British Columbia for future generations.
